About the Role
As a CSA Services Operations Finance Analyst at GE Vernova, you will be at the forefront of the company's financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate financials for the HDGT CSA Business line. Your expertise in project accounting, financial analysis, and Excel will be crucial in driving financial excellence. You will work closely with the Operations, Fulfillment, and Services ITR Finance teams to achieve key outcomes and maintain strong connections with stakeholders.The role entails managing all financial aspects of project accounting, including project setup, actuals booking, revenue recognition, manual journal entries, and reconciliations. You will ensure that financials are in line with GAAP and compliant with statutory regulations and global accounting policies. Your day-to-day activities will include preparing financial output, communicating with stakeholders, and approving credit notes.
As part of the finance team, you will report to a Team Leader and work collaboratively to identify improvement areas and implement standard processes and policies. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and deliver results will be essential to success.
What You Will Do
- Manage project accounting for HD Services CSA projects, including project setup and actuals booking
- Ensure financials are in line with GAAP and compliant with statutory regulations and global accounting policies
- Prepare financial output and communicate with stakeholders, including CPMs and CSLs
- Approve credit notes, record bad debt, and bonus/liquidated damages
- Review and reconcile periodic balance sheet accounts related to projects
- Actively participate in contract handover reviews from Inquiry to Order (ITO) to Order to Remittance (OTR)
- Perform Margin Review calculations and confirm reconciliation
- Download and prepare SONIC data for pacing process validation with Operations
- Possess detailed knowledge of the pacing case to enable BU Finance in optimizing the case
- Monitor intercompany transactions related to projects and partner with the central IBS team to problem-solve rejects and holds
- Provide internal and external audit support relating to project accounting activity, balance sheet, and P&L as needed
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or equivalent international degree
- Significant experience in Finance and/or Operations in progressively larger positions of responsibility
- Adequate experience in Financial Systems and Data
- Fluency in English
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Excellent time management, organizational, and data-driven skills
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work in ambiguous situations
- Experience with process improvement and a LEAN culture

- Expertise in Alpha ERP
- Solid understanding of USGAAP and statutory accounting principles
- Ability to translate accounting requirements to ERP solutions
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement
