About the Role

Mercor is seeking a Culture Specialist to join their team, working remotely to evaluate AI-generated artifacts in Humanities, Arts, and Culture. As a specialist in this field, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of AI outputs. You will work independently, applying your deep subject-matter expertise to grade outputs and provide clear, structured written feedback.

The role entails evaluating documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks for factual, aesthetic, and presentation errors. You will work with domain-specific quality rubrics to assess the outputs and provide recommendations for improvement. Your expertise in Humanities, Arts, and Culture will be essential in identifying areas for refinement and providing actionable feedback.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated artifacts against domain-specific quality rubrics
  • Identify factual, aesthetic, and presentation errors in documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback to improve AI model outputs
  • Apply deep subject-matter expertise to grade outputs in Humanities, Arts, and Culture
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality evaluations
  • Collaborate with the mercor team to refine AI models and improve output quality
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AI-generated content and its applications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in Humanities, Arts, and Culture
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Humanities, Arts, and Culture
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, especially Slides
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) from a reputable institution
  • Experience working with AI-generated content or machine learning models
