About the Role

As a Curriculum Developer & Instructor at ClickHouse, you will be at the forefront of shaping how users interact with and understand the power of real-time analytics and data warehousing. This role is part of the Learning Team, which has seen rapid growth as more users discover the capabilities of ClickHouse. You will have the unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing comprehensive training courses to delivering live online and in-person training sessions. Your expertise will not only contribute to the development of high-quality training content but also play a critical role in shaping the company's credential and certification programs.

The role of a Curriculum Developer & Instructor is multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to diverse audiences. You will work closely with various teams, including Engineering and Product, to ensure that the training content is not only accurate but also relevant to the needs of ClickHouse users. This collaboration will enable you to stay at the forefront of industry developments and contribute to the growth of a community that values knowledge sharing and expertise.

What You Will Do

  • Develop ClickHouse training courses for both on-demand and instructor-led delivery, including slides, videos, and hands-on labs.
  • Design new training courses for various personas and users of ClickHouse, including working with the Engineering and Product team to determine the necessary course content.
  • Work with other Curriculum Developers to produce high-quality on-demand training content for the ClickHouse Academy.
  • Teach ClickHouse courses both virtually and in person for public and private deliveries.
  • Help write and deploy quizzes and certification exams for ClickHouse credentials and certifications.
  • Establish a community presence using popular social media outlets, as well as delivering training and talks at conferences.
  • Travel to Meetups, conferences, and customer sites to deliver training and promote ClickHouse to the community.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure training content aligns with product roadmap and user needs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments to continuously improve training content and methods.

What We Are Looking For

  • Located in the EMEA region with the ability to travel regionally throughout EMEA.
  • A self-motivated attitude that provides the desire and determination to complete projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
  • Proven experience developing curriculum for a highly technical audience, like software engineers and database developers.
  • Proven experience and ability to teach audiences of all different sizes and backgrounds.
  • Experience with SQL and excellent communication skills.
  • Technical breadth and depth in relevant subjects such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, and big data.
  • A high level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years of experience with curriculum development for databases and/or distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of building machine learning applications and/or GenAI.
  • Strong knowledge of database internals and deploying them at scale.
  • Experience with ClickHouse database.
  • Experience with one or more Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience building software certification exams.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally amongst engineering, support, product, and development teams.
