About the Role

The Custodian role at Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador is a full-time position that plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of the organization's facilities. As a custodian, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the building and its surroundings, including setting up and tearing down for events. What You Will Do

  • Maintain the cleanliness of all areas of the building and grounds

  • Routinely check the building for potential facilities concerns and report any issues to management
  • Assist in maintaining OHS and Food Safety standards
  • Support and supervise other cleaning staff by providing direction on priorities and best practices for cleaning
  • Help with event setup, including arranging decorations and ensuring all necessary equipment is available
  • Ensure all areas of the building are secure at the end of each day
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest cleaning methods and safety protocols

  • Experience in facility maintenance or a related field
