About the Role

The Customer Marketing team at Openai is dedicated to showcasing real-world customer outcomes through compelling storytelling, proof, and structured advocacy programs. As a Customer Marketing Manager focused on B2B social storytelling and advocacy, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Openai's customer stories, advocacy programs, enterprise launches, and brand campaigns with fresh, platform-native content across LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. Your expertise will be crucial in concepting new content formats, guiding the narrative direction, and ensuring customer and advocate voices are heard clearly across Openai's highest-impact channels.

The role will be based in San Francisco, with the requirement to be available in the office 3 days per week. This presents an opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, while also enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

What You Will Do

  • Own the development and implementation of customer stories and advocacy moments across LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
  • Concept and create social-first formats, including short videos, clips, carousels, threads, and social-ready highlight moments that resonate with B2B audiences.
  • Develop and direct content that supports customer stories, advocacy efforts, enterprise launches, and brand campaigns, ensuring alignment with Openai's overall marketing strategy.
  • Draft outlines, scripts, prompts, narrative angles, and creative briefs for short-form B2B content that engages and informs.
  • Transform long-form customer films, interviews, and written stories into platform-native assets that are both compelling and easily consumable.
  • Build share packs and recommended copy for employees, leaders, and customers to amplify Openai's message and extend its reach.
  • Maintain a structured publishing calendar, identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the social content workflow to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partner across multiple teams, including GTM, PMM, Comms, Brand, Events, Creative, Production, Sales, and regional teams, to support launches, shape industry narratives, and strengthen Openai's position across key verticals.

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in Customer Marketing, Social Marketing, Content Marketing, PMM, or B2B GTM roles, with a proven track record of success in B2B social marketing.
  • Deep experience with B2B social across LinkedIn, X, and YouTube, including a strong understanding of platform-specific content strategies.
  • Strong creative and trend fluency, including creator-style, lo-fi, platform-native formats and polished enterprise storytelling.
  • Excellent editorial judgment, with strong instincts for hooks, pacing, sequencing, amplification, and repeatable formats that drive engagement.
  • Experience working with customers, advocates, industry voices, and cross-functional stakeholders in public storytelling, with the ability to navigate complex partnerships and collaborations.
  • Clear project leadership across Sales, PMM, Comms, Creative, Production, and regional teams, with the capability to drive projects forward and ensure timely delivery.
  • Video and visual intuition, including knowing what good looks like and how to raise velocity and quality in content production.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Excel, specifically in data analysis and visualization, to support data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Familiarity with GTM strategies and how they integrate with customer marketing efforts, to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Knowledge of AI and its applications in marketing, to leverage Openai's innovative technologies and approaches.
