About the Role

The Customer Success Architect (CSA) team at GitLab is dedicated to delivering unparalleled value to customers through strategic alignment, enablement, and expansion. As a CSA, you will serve as a trusted advisor, leveraging your expertise in DevSecOps best practices, industry trends, and GitLab's software capabilities to help customers navigate complex challenges and achieve their desired outcomes.

In this highly strategic position, you will partner with customers to turn their desired business outcomes into actionable objectives, guiding them on their journey to adoption and long-term success. You will also act as a liaison between the customer and the GitLab ecosystem, streamlining collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Professional Services, and other teams.

As a key member of the customer success team, you will be responsible for building strong, consultative relationships with key customers, understanding their unique business objectives, and developing tailored success plans to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with customers to align GitLab's platform with their business objectives and drive long-term success
  • Develop and execute customer success plans, establishing critical goals and key performance indicators
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the GitLab ecosystem, facilitating collaboration and issue resolution
  • Provide expert guidance on DevSecOps best practices, industry trends, and GitLab's software capabilities
  • Own a book of assigned customers, focusing on increasing adoption, ensuring retention and growth, and overall customer satisfaction
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on GitLab releases and features
  • Work with assigned customers to build customer success plans, establishing critical goals and key performance indicators
  • Program manage account escalations and provide insights on new feature availability and applicability
  • Support GitLab Services in identifying and recommending training opportunities

What We Are Looking For

  • Understanding of Git and typical branching strategies
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and development pipeline
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and DevSecOps
  • Prior experience in Customer Success or equivalent history of increasing satisfaction, adoption, and retention
  • Familiarity working with customers of sizes relevant to the assigned segment
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to partner with customers to define and achieve business outcomes
  • Familiarity with AI-powered solutions and their application in customer success

Nice to Have

  • Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and platforms
  • Certification in customer success or a related field
