About the Role

The Customer Success, Enterprise role at Fivetran is a critical position that will drive customer satisfaction, adoption, and revenue growth in the Japanese market. As the primary point of contact for over half of Fivetran's customers in Japan, this role requires a unique blend of sales and post-sales experience, as well as a deep understanding of the local market. The successful candidate will be responsible for building trusted relationships with executive and technical stakeholders, driving adoption of Fivetran's connectors and platform features, and identifying opportunities for expansion.

The Japan team is a tight-knit group with a strong culture of collaboration and customer-obsession. As a key member of this team, the Customer Success, Enterprise will work closely with Sales, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. With a strong focus on GTM strategy and execution, this role is ideal for a professional with a mix of sales and post-sales experience who is looking to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly growing company.

By working closely with customers to understand their needs and challenges, the Customer Success, Enterprise will help to drive the adoption of Fivetran's technology and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

What You Will Do

  • Be the primary relationship owner for a book of existing customers in Japan, responsible for retention, renewals, upsells, and adoption-driven expansion
  • Build trusted executive and technical relationships with customers, using Japanese and English language skills to communicate effectively
  • Run regular business reviews and create expansion roadmaps tied to business outcomes, using data and analytics to inform decision-making
  • Drive customer adoption of Fivetran connectors and platform features through consultative, use-case driven conversations
  • Manage the full contracting lifecycle for your book, including planning, strategy, negotiation, amendments, and execution
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts for renewals, expansions, and amendments, keeping Salesforce and forecasting tools up to date
  • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Product, Marketing, and Partners/SIs to deliver excellent outcomes and smooth implementation/migration projects
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Fivetran's technology and its applications in the Japanese market
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, using this knowledge to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales or post-sales role, with a focus on GTM strategy and execution
  • Strong understanding of the Japanese market and business culture
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
  • Experience with Salesforce, Excel, and other sales and customer success tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the technology industry and its trends

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with data integration and analytics technologies
  • Familiarity with Fivetran's technology and its applications
  • Certification in Salesforce or other relevant technologies
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
