About the Role
The Customer Success Manager role at Gitlab is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. As a key member of the public sector team, you will be responsible for driving customer success and adoption of the Gitlab DevSecOps platform. This will involve working closely with customers to understand their business needs, developing and executing tailored success plans, and ensuring that customers are able to achieve their desired outcomes.The role is based in the United States and requires a deep understanding of the public sector landscape, including the challenges and opportunities that come with working in this space. You will be working closely with a range of stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and product managers, to drive growth and adoption of the Gitlab platform.
What You Will Do
- Partner with public sector customers to develop and execute tailored success plans that drive meaningful business outcomes
- Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
- Develop and deliver training and enablement programs to ensure customers are able to get the most out of the Gitlab platform
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Work with product managers to provide feedback and input on the development of new features and functionality
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Gitlab platform and its capabilities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in the public sector
- Identify and mitigate risks to customer success and adoption
- Develop and execute plans to drive customer retention and growth
What We Are Looking For
- Eligibility as a United States Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Background in customer success or a similar customer-facing role, with a track record of driving satisfaction, adoption, and retention
- Experience working in the public sector, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with working in this space
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and execute plans to drive customer success and adoption
- Experience with DevSecOps and digital transformation, with a deep understanding of the benefits and challenges of these approaches
Nice to Have
- Experience working with the Gitlab platform or similar DevSecOps tools
- Certification in a relevant area, such as ITIL or Agile
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to develop and execute data-driven plans to drive customer success and adoption
