About the Role
Airbyte is revolutionizing the way data is moved and utilized, and as a Customer Support Developer, you will play a critical role in this mission. Your primary focus will be on providing top-notch technical support to customers, leveraging your expertise in API integration to resolve complex issues. You will work closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.As a key member of the support team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting API-related issues, reproducing customer-reported bugs, and documenting findings for the engineering team. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in driving customer success, and your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential.

What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for API-related customer issues
- Triage and prioritize incoming issues with urgency, meeting SLA targets and leveraging AI tools to resolve issues efficiently
- Dig into complex API integration issues, partnering with Engineering to root-cause and drive real fixes
- Reproduce customer-reported bugs, inspecting API request/response payloads, connector logs, and sync state
- Support embedded platform customers through onboarding and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement new features and improvements
- Contribute to Airbyte's open-source connectors and the Python Connector Development Kit (CDK)
What We Are Looking For
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in API integration and development
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with API investigation, including REST/GraphQL APIs, connectors, and data pipelines
- Familiarity with SaaS integrations and cloud-based platforms
- Strong customer-centric approach, with a focus on providing exceptional customer support
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork
Nice to Have
- Experience with Airbyte's open-source platform and CDK
- Knowledge of YAML-based connector definitions and OpenAPI specs
- Familiarity with cassette-based testing workflows
- Experience with low-code/no-code development and the Connector Builder
