What You Will Do

  • Respond to support requests from mercor's talent pool, ensuring timely and effective resolutions to issues and inquiries.
  • Triage and investigate talent-reported issues through examining telemetry data, inspecting network requests, writing queries against our database, and troubleshooting common browser issues.
  • Consolidate insights and make recommendations about product areas needing improvement, playing a critical role in the iterative development of mercor's platform.
  • Build talent-facing documentation to address common questions in the support queue, aiming to reduce support requests over time.
  • Maintain a high level of enthusiasm and professionalism in all interactions, ensuring that communications are in near-perfect English.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement changes and improvements based on support insights.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of mercor's platform and its functionalities to provide accurate support.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on new technologies and processes.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for customer support within the company.

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in building modern web applications.
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting customers on web applications, preferably in a SaaS-based environment.
  • Experience with a support platform like Zendesk, Intercom, Help Scout, Freshdesk, or Crisp.
  • Ability to debug web applications, with familiarity with technologies such as React, Node, Flask, Next.js, etc.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and as part of a distributed team.
  • Experience with SaaS-based product work and a customer-centric approach.
