About the Role
The Cyber Operations Management System (COMS) demonstration is a high-priority task that aims to build a mock-up environment on the NATO Software Factory. This environment will replicate the functionalities of the current COMS, allowing for the capture of requirements and the demonstration of its capabilities to industry partners. As a key player in this project, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the COMS demonstration and ensuring its success.The role entails working closely with the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) to acquire, deploy, and defend communication systems for NATO's political decision-makers and Commands. The NCIA operates on the frontlines against cyber-attacks, collaborating closely with governments and industry to prevent future debilitating attacks. The Cyper Operations Management System is a critical component of the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the NATO Integrated Cyber Defence Centre (NICC).
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on innovation and technological advancement. They will be part of a team that is dedicated to maintaining NATO's technological edge and ensuring the collective defence and crisis management capabilities of the Alliance.
What You Will Do
- Build a mock-up environment on the NATO Software Factory to replicate the functionalities of the current COMS
- Capture the requirements of the COMS and demonstrate its capabilities to industry partners
- Work closely with the NCIA to acquire, deploy, and defend communication systems for NATO's political decision-makers and Commands
- Collaborate with governments and industry to prevent future debilitating cyber-attacks
- Identify and capture the requirements of what COMS is able to deliver today in a video demo
- Present the video demo at a planned industry engagement day
- Replicate all Jira processes supporting the execution of the DEFEND branch missions
- Replicate the mechanism allowing low-side workflows tracking from the high-side with the associated hand-over/take-over mechanism
- Use dynamic wiki page publications based on Jira issues changes
- Utilize the use of dynamic page templates (scaffolding/reporting-based)
What We Are Looking For
- Experience with Excel and cyber security projects
- Knowledge of the NATO Software Factory and COMS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation and technological advancement
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience working with governments and industry to prevent cyber-attacks
- Ability to identify and capture requirements of complex systems
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of cyber incident response and defensive cyber operations
- Ability to work remotely and manage a team
Nice to Have
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Atlassian Confluence
- Knowledge of NATO's technological edge and the collective defence and crisis management capabilities of the Alliance
- Experience working with the NCIA and the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)
- Ability to speak multiple languages
