Cybersecurity - Intern

About the Role

Day-to-day, the role will involve engaging with various aspects of information security, from understanding security concepts to supporting the team in their efforts to protect and serve customers. Given the remote nature of the position, interns will need to be highly self-motivated and able to work effectively in a distributed team environment.

What You Will Do

• Assist in the implementation of security measures to protect against cyber threats
• Learn and utilize various security tools and technologies
• Participate in security audits and risk assessments
• Support the development of security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the team to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies
• Assist in incident response and management
• Contribute to the development of security awareness programs for customers and internal stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems from an accredited 4-year university or college
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to complete a minimum of a three-month assignment and work full-time for the duration
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools (MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Understanding of Information Technology security concepts
• Ability to think and react quickly to rapidly changing situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice to Have

• Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, Java)
• Knowledge of cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance regulations
