About the Role
The role of a Danish - Remote Telephonic Interpreter at Language Services Associates is multifaceted and critical. As a key member of the company's network of independently contracted interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between limited English proficient individuals and those who require interpretation services. What You Will Do
- Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting services for Danish languages.
- Answer inbound calls in a timely and professional manner.

- Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct, with a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
- Complete training sessions and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring to ensure high standards of service.
- Utilize web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word as part of your daily activities.
- Ensure your home office setup meets the requirements for high-quality sound and minimal background noise.
- Collaborate with other interpreters and staff as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in interpretation.
What We Are Looking For
- Full fluency in both English and Danish languages.
- Technology proficiency, particularly with web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word.
- Landline phone access for high-quality sound.
- A dedicated interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from distractions.
- At least 2 years of professional interpreting experience, preferably in settings such as medical, legal, or customer service.
- Industry-specific certifications or trainings, such as CMI or CCHI, are preferred.
- Proof of completing 40+ hours of medical interpreting training, such as Bridging the Gap or Cross-Cultural Communications, is highly valued.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple calls with professionalism and accuracy.
