About the Role
The Data Analyst, Business Intelligence role at Float is a strategic position that will serve as the connective tissue between the company's data infrastructure and key decision-making teams. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Float's core dashboards and reporting infrastructure, ensuring that the business can make informed decisions with confidence. You will work closely with the Analytics Engineer to translate business questions into actionable data products, and partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, RevOps, GTM, Sales, and the Chief of Staff.The role is part of the data team and will report to the Head of Data. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building the intelligence layer on top of the data infrastructure, including dashboards, metrics definitions, reporting cadences, and frameworks that turn clean data into business clarity. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's growth and success.

What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain Float's core dashboards and reporting infrastructure
- Develop and govern metrics definitions, reporting cadences, and frameworks that turn clean data into business clarity
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business questions and develop data products to answer them
- Work closely with the Analytics Engineer to translate business questions into durable data products
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Finance, RevOps, GTM, Sales, and the Chief of Staff
- Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data
- Create and maintain documentation of the data infrastructure, including data sources, processing, and storage
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and business intelligence
- Collaborate with the data team to develop and implement new data products and tools
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
- Strong understanding of data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with SQL and data querying languages
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP
Nice to Have
- Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R
- Experience with data governance and data quality practices
- Certification in data analysis or business intelligence, such as Certified Data Analyst or Certified Business Intelligence Analyst
