Job Description

About the Role

As a Data Analyst II at YipitData, you will be part of the data feeds team, focusing on Kepler, a tractions feed that tracks over $45 billion in US consumer transactions. Your primary responsibility will be to own the Kepler data content end-to-end, driving product success by delivering best-in-class outputs. You will work closely with customers, Product, Data Science, and Engineering to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data feed.

The role requires a deep understanding of third-party and proprietary datasets and methodologies. You will be expected to take full ownership of the Kepler data, improving methodologies, implementing QA frameworks, and prototyping enhancements that engineering will turn into robust, reliable data pipelines.

As a key member of the team, you will work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outputs. Your ability to bring ideas and not just execute on others' will be essential in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Own Kepler data content end-to-end, driving product success by delivering best-in-class outputs
  • Work closely with customers, Product, Data Science, and Engineering to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data feed
  • Take full ownership of the Kepler data, improving methodologies, implementing QA frameworks, and prototyping enhancements
  • Build deep expertise in third-party and proprietary datasets and methodologies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization to deliver high-quality outputs
  • Bring ideas and not just execute on others' to continuously improve the data feed and processes
  • Present directly to investors and clients, communicating complex data insights effectively
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Participate in the development of new data products and features

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to own a data product end-to-end
  • Experience working with large datasets and data feeds, with a focus on accuracy and reliability
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Python, and Tableau
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science
