About the Role
The Data Analyst, Product role at Float is a critical position that involves working closely with the product teams to analyze financial data and design experiments to inform business decisions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for defining what needs to be measured, designing measurement frameworks, and analyzing experiments to drive product development. You will be working on high-complexity and high-stakes projects, including banking infrastructure and payments, and will be expected to use AI to drive business decisions. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Data and will be working closely with the product teams to drive business decisions.What You Will Do
- Define what needs to be measured before features ship and support the instrumentation to measure it
- Design and get broad alignment on measurement frameworks before features go to engineering
- Design and analyze experiments to inform business decisions
- Structure A/B tests for product changes and define the hypothesis, select the right unit of randomization, size the experiment for sufficient power, and interpret results
- Use AI to drive business decisions and improve product development
- Collaborate with the product teams to design and implement new features and products
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics and performance indicators
- Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive product development
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in data analysis and AI
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis and experimentation design
- Strong knowledge of financial data analysis and modeling
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong understanding of business finance and banking infrastructure
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard development
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and experimentation design
Nice to Have
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and tools
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Certification in data analysis or a related field
