## About the Role The Data Analyst Retention role at Ollie is a critical position that will drive the company's efforts to build subscription retention and member loyalty. This highly collaborative and technical analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, CX, and research, to identify opportunities for growth and optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing actionable insights, and presenting findings to key stakeholders.

As a key member of the team, the Data Analyst will play a vital role in shaping the company's data-driven approach to customer experience. This will involve working closely with the Senior Data Analyst, Experimentation & Growth, to develop and implement data analysis strategies that inform business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving business growth through data-driven insights.

## What You Will Do - Drive a data-driven approach to optimizing the Ollie member experience through exploratory analytical projects - Identify actionable learnings and create high-value hypotheses to inform business decisions - Design and measure tests for new experiences and features to ensure continuous learning - Support the cross-functional team as the go-to data resource through ad hoc analysis and thought leadership on metric definition - Share and present analyses to key stakeholders, identifying and communicating data and tech needs - Contribute new ideas to enhance processes and build analytical excellence at Ollie - Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement data analysis strategies that inform product development - Work closely with the marketing team to analyze customer behavior and develop targeted marketing campaigns - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics and KPIs - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive business growth

## What We Are Looking For - 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, growth analytics, lifecycle analytics, or retention analytics - Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, SQL, and applied statistics - Experience working with subscription-based metrics, including retention, churn, and LTV - Ability to balance technical skills with business acumen and communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components - Experience working with various data sources, including web and analytics platforms, curated reporting tools, and production databases - Strong grasp of retention, churn, reactivation, cohort analysis, lifecycle performance, and customer behavior in a subscription or recurring-revenue business - Ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting, with strong communication and project management skills

## Nice to Have - Experience working in the pet industry or a related field - Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R - Experience working with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI - Certification in data analysis or a related field
