Data Annotation Specialist, Arabic Language Najdi/Hijazi Dialect

About the Role

Your day-to-day tasks will involve working with various data formats, including text, image, JSON, TSV/CSV, and Markdown. You will be responsible for scrutinizing and rectifying inaccuracies in language data, maintaining the highest standard of data accuracy. As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will be working remotely from Canada, and you will be expected to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week.

What You Will Do

• Label and rank machine learning data with advanced proficiency in Arabic (Najdi/Hijazi), ensuring data integrity and quality
• Audit and correct inaccuracies in language data, maintaining the highest standard of data accuracy
• Efficiently complete reading and text-based assignments, with high attention to detail
• Evaluate and complete tasks, assessing which responses in Arabic (Najdi/Hijazi) best conform to project guidelines
• Identify and suggest opportunities for improving data quality and model performance in Arabic (Najdi/Hijazi) language tasks
• Collaborate and communicate effectively, providing feedback to cross-functional team members, particularly on Arabic (Najdi/Hijazi) language-related matters
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail while performing repetitive and precise tasks, particularly when working with language data
• Provide high-quality results, meeting deadlines and delivering exceptional customer service
• Utilize your expertise in Arabic to improve the accuracy and performance of large language models

What We Are Looking For

• Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic (Najdi/Hijazi), with excellent command over English
• Expert reading and writing skills, with the ability to prove your proficiency through a written test
• Basic familiarity with JSON/TSV/CSV/Markdown data manipulation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• High tolerance for repetitive and monotonous work
• Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently
• Superb sense of urgency and time management
• Curiosity about technology and a knack for tackling problems in creative ways
• A reliable laptop and the ability to work remotely from Canada

• Experience working with data annotation tools and platforms
