About the Role

Anthropic is seeking a Data Center Engineer, Resource Efficiency – Compute Supply to join their team. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of IT and facilities, building systems, models, and control loops to optimize power, cooling, and physical capacity across their TPU/GPU fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Build models to forecast consumption across electrical and mechanical subsystems, informing capacity planning and energy procurement.
  • Design IT/OT interfaces to bridge compute orchestration with facility controls, enabling real-time telemetry.
  • Build and operate load management systems to maximize throughput while meeting SLOs.
  • Partner with data center providers to drive design optimizations and ensure SLA-grade performance standards.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of data center power distribution and cooling architectures.
  • Experience with reliability engineering, SLA development, and failure-mode analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and simulation for infrastructure capacity or power utilization.
