About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Write data conversion code using modern Perl and SQL to migrate clients to TaxSys software
  • Collaborate with data analysts to understand client specifications and validate converted data
  • Debug and resolve issues with client data, combining technical skills with domain knowledge
  • Work as part of an agile team to ensure smooth data migration and client satisfaction

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 1 year of experience in writing production-quality code, with Perl experience being preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with MySQL experience being a plus
  • Experience with Linux BASH shell scripting and Makefiles
  • Familiarity with Docker or alternatives for container management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex data issues
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting
  • Experience working in an agile environment and with collaborative tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
