About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize platform services on the company's modern GCP-based data environment
  • Interact with software architects, engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to define data needs and provide solutions
  • Develop high-quality code bases for data pipelines
  • Develop, provision, and monitor data products
  • Maintain data pipeline orchestration, datalake, and data warehouse
  • Contribute to the development of new data and engineering initiatives
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all data products
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize new project opportunities
  • Participate in the development of the company's data strategy

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar data science or engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of SQL programming and dbt
  • Experience with GCP native services, such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Dataproc, and Dataflow
  • Experience developing high-quality software, including unit and integration tests, using languages like Python or Java
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Git
  • Experience with data pipeline workflows, including Airflow
  • Experience with containerization, such as Docker, and infrastructure as code frameworks, like Terraform
  • Familiarity with distributed computing technologies, such as Apache Spark
  • Knowledge of ML concepts and frameworks is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing and big data technologies
  • Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Certification in GCP or related technologies
