About the Role
The Data Engineer II position at Providence is a remote opportunity that entails managing and administering the Epic Cogito suite of reporting tools. As a key member of the Enterprise Information Services team, the successful candidate will coordinate analytics processes, oversee reporting system updates, and maintain Cogito-related system settings. The role requires a strong understanding of Epic applications and Cogito tools, as well as excellent technical and analytical skills. The Data Engineer II will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the effective use of Cogito tools and Analytics processes. This includes coordinating with Epic governance groups, managing Cogito-related projects, and auditing technical system functionality. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Epic applications, Cogito tools, and related technologies. - Manage the Epic Cogito suite of reporting tools, including maintenance and updates
- Coordinate analytics processes and oversee reporting system updates
- Maintain Cogito-related system settings and troubleshoot technical system functionality
- Represent Cogito in Epic governance groups and coordinate with stakeholders
- Manage Cogito-related projects, including Epic Releases and system updates
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective use of Cogito tools
- Develop and implement best practices for Cogito tools and Analytics processes
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on Cogito tools and Analytics processes
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of Cogito tools with other systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field
- 3 years of experience in Epic application build and Cogito tools administration
- Strong understanding of Epic applications and Cogito tools
- Experience with data development and analytics processes
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with project management and coordination
- Epic Certifications, including Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Tools Admin, and Cogito Project Manager (preferred)
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field
- 5 years of experience in data development and Epic application build
