Job Description

## About the Role As a Data Engineer at Macee, you will play a crucial role in streamlining data flows and building high-end ingestions, cleaning, and parsing applications. You will work closely with the business to gather and clarify requirements, making functional and technical designs in collaboration with Solution Architects and colleagues. The role is part of the Digital and Data unit, which supports the optimal continuity of business processes through the development of Data Products using Scrum and DevOps.

Macee is at the forefront of this change, with its innovative 2GW program aimed at increasing the pace and efficiency of the energy transition. As a Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in facilitating this transition by developing data-driven solutions that enable the company to make informed decisions.

## What You Will Do - Gather and clarify requirements from the business in collaboration with the Product Owner - Make functional and technical designs in collaboration with Solution Architects and colleagues - Build ingestions, cleaning, parsing, modeling, and dashboarding applications - Expose and analyze data to provide insights and inform business decisions - Convert raw data from various sources into applicable solutions - Write and maintain program and system documentation - Day-to-day management and monitoring of data products - Collaborate with the Scrum Team to deliver reliable data products to internal customers - Develop user stories and new Data Products in response to customer demand - Translate requirements into custom, reusable solutions - Provide feedback to team members to foster growth and improvement

## What We Are Looking For - At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data engineering or a related field - Completed HBO education or equivalent - Proficiency in Python (senior level) - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins + ArgoCD (CICD tooling) - Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment - Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders - Experience with requirement gathering and analysis - Knowledge of relational databases (Impala, Postgres, Oracle) - Familiarity with Git and version control systems

## Nice to Have - Experience with data visualization techniques (Tibco Spotfire, PowerBI) - Knowledge of Azure and Kafka - Familiarity with object storage and security in Data ETL - Experience with Scrum and DevOps methodologies
