What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures that meet the analytics needs of the People Experience organization.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow from various HR systems into the analytics environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
  • Work closely with the data science team to identify areas for data improvement and implement data quality checks.
  • Develop and maintain data models that support analytics requirements, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
  • Utilize expertise in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Apply hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration and dbt for data transformation.
  • Leverage expertise in AWS data services and cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the data visualization team to design and implement data visualizations that tell compelling stories.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of data privacy and security measures to protect sensitive people data.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics, applying this knowledge to continuously improve processes and solutions.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on people analytics or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration and dbt for data transformation.
  • Experience with AWS data services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience working with HR systems such as Workday or similar.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
