About the Role

As a Data Engineer at Bluelight Consulting, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that drive business growth and informed decision-making. Your expertise in data pipeline development, data modeling, and data quality will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data systems. What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines
  • Design and implement data models to support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and process improvements
  • Monitor data quality and perform data modeling to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Develop and maintain data pipeline architectures to support real-time data processing and analytics
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data-driven projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of data systems and pipelines
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to develop and maintain business intelligence tools and reports
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data pipeline development and data modeling
  • Strong technical skills in data engineering, including proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles and data governance
  • Experience with data integration platforms, including Pentaho Kettle, SnapLogic, or Talend OpenStudio
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies and version control systems such as Git

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, including GoodData, Tableau, or PowerBI
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and techniques
  • Experience with cloud-based data security and compliance frameworks
  • Certification in data engineering or a related field
