About the Role
As a Data Engineer at Bluelight Consulting, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that drive business growth and informed decision-making. Your expertise in data pipeline development, data modeling, and data quality will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including analytics, business, and product development, to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and process improvements.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in data engineering, with experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines
- Design and implement data models to support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and process improvements
- Monitor data quality and perform data modeling to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Develop and maintain data pipeline architectures to support real-time data processing and analytics
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data-driven projects and initiatives
- Develop and maintain technical documentation of data systems and pipelines
- Collaborate with the analytics team to develop and maintain business intelligence tools and reports
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data pipeline development and data modeling
- Strong technical skills in data engineering, including proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of data quality principles and data governance
- Experience with data integration platforms, including Pentaho Kettle, SnapLogic, or Talend OpenStudio
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with agile software development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
Nice to Have
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools, including GoodData, Tableau, or PowerBI
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and techniques
- Experience with cloud-based data security and compliance frameworks
- Certification in data engineering or a related field
