About the Role
As a Data Engineer at EY, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing robust and scalable data pipelines and modern cloud-based data platforms. What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ensure high-quality data across the organization
- Ensure data quality, governance, and auditability, adhering to industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that meet business needs
- Optimize data flows and ETL processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Support cloud-based data platform development, leveraging expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
- Work with structured and unstructured data across modern and legacy platforms
- Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data governance frameworks
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
- Participate in agile development methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues, resolving problems and implementing fixes to ensure data integrity
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another relevant subject
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or ETL development
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases
- Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline development
- Experience with Python or another scripting language
- Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and lineage concepts
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured data across modern and legacy platforms
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Certifications in data engineering, such as Microsoft certifications or Snowflake certification
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems
