About the Role

The Data Intern role at GeoLogics is a unique opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in data management and analysis. As a part-time, remote intern, you will be working closely with the Center of Excellence for Collaboration (CoECI) team to execute data conversion tasks, apply information architecture principles, and design a dedicated project owner site. This role is an excellent chance to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to live projects, all while working remotely and flexible hours that fit your academic schedule.

The CoECI team is dedicated to shaping how the premier aerospace organization manages and shares its knowledge. As a Data Intern, you will be an integral part of this mission, working on tasks that will have a direct impact on the team's operations. Your day-to-day work will involve collaborating with team members, participating in team meetings, and documenting processes.

What You Will Do

  • Execute data conversion and cleanup tasks within Salesforce to ensure platform accuracy and data integrity
  • Apply information architecture principles to reorganize the team's online handbook for improved usability
  • Design and launch a dedicated project owner site stocked with essential resources
  • Collaborate with CoECI team members, shadow experienced professionals, and contribute to live projects
  • Participate in team meetings, document processes, and share findings with stakeholders
  • Learn and adapt to a modern toolkit including Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and SharePoint
  • Work independently to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Provide excellent written and verbal communication to stakeholders
  • Develop a strong understanding of data management and CRM systems

What We Are Looking For

  • U.S. citizenship required (this position supports a federal program)
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Graduate's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Library Science, or a related field
  • Some coursework or experience in data management or database administration
  • Exposure to information architecture or UX design principles
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of SQL and database querying languages
