About the Role

The Data Product Manager position at Veeva Systems is a critical role that involves leading the development of the Link Activity data product, a central component of the Veeva Link suite of products. This product is designed to provide high-quality, deep data for life sciences professionals, enabling them to find the right people for clinical trials, education programs, or advisory boards. As a Data Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product roadmap, driving the development of data initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of high-value features.

The ideal candidate will have experience in product management, a strong understanding of data analysis and science, and the ability to work closely with data engineers, data operations, and analysts. You will be the subject matter expert for Link Activity data, including clinical trials, scientific literature, and events, and will be responsible for designing and defining requirements for the product data model and delivery pipelines.

What You Will Do

  • Define and prioritize the Link Activity data roadmap
  • Drive the development of data initiatives from ideation to delivery, ensuring product and customer success
  • Align product development and communicate feature releases with product stakeholders
  • Design and define requirements for product data model and delivery pipelines
  • Lead a squad of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Curators, and Analysts
  • Become a subject matter expert for Link Activity data, including clinical trials, scientific literature, and events
  • Collaborate with other Link Data Product Managers to facilitate cross-product alignment and consistency
  • Support internal teams on product questions and data analysis
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the product and its capabilities
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and product management

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in product management, preferably in the life sciences or technology sector
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and science, including data modeling and data visualization
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data operations, and analysts
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive product development and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Experience with data products and data pipelines, including data ingestion, processing, and delivery
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop creative solutions
  • Knowledge of Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a focus on innovation and speed

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud
