About the Role
The Data & Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in supporting business decisions with data analysis and insights. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop solutions to drive growth and improvement. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and reports to support business partners and leadership. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to drive business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis principles and practices, as well as experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau and Alteryx. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
What You Will Do
- Support end-user reporting requirements gathering and analysis in consultation with Business Analysts and end users
- Administer weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual dashboards and reports
- Identify and support opportunities for automated workflows
- Design, develop, test, and validate new reports, dashboards, and processes of simple complexity
- Understand and apply continuous improvement processes, policies, and procedures and internal control standards
- Support the development and enhancement of reporting capabilities across our analytical and data management tool sets
- Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
- Collect, analyze, mine, and leverage data stored in data warehouse universes and databases
- Support the development of techniques and models to evaluate business results, risk exposure, and identify drivers of deviations from plan
- Execute and maintain forecasting models of simple complexity to project business needs and/or results
- Execute and maintain basic financial analyses including cost-benefit analyses, cost estimates, and decision support analyses
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline
- 1 year of data analysis experience in data analysis, preferably in Insurance, Financial Services, or Operations Consulting role
- Intermediate/advanced technical skills including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Business Objects
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau and Alteryx
- Knowledge of SQL and database management principles
- Certification in data analysis or related field
