About the Role

The Data Scientist role at Dropbox is a unique opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams to drive business growth through data-driven insights. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to optimize product performance and scale the business. Your deep understanding of user behaviors and applied analytics techniques will be crucial in informing business decisions.

Day-to-day, you will be working on challenging problems, leveraging your expertise in data analysis and interpretation to develop and implement solutions that have a direct impact on the business. What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain complex data models to analyze user behaviors and identify trends
  • Collaborate with product teams to design and implement A/B tests to measure product feature effectiveness
  • Work closely with engineering teams to integrate data insights into product development
  • Design and develop data visualizations to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Partner with design teams to inform product design decisions with data-driven insights
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support business intelligence
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business problems to solve
  • Develop forecasts and predictive models to inform business decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Experience with applied analytics techniques and data modeling
  • Ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Strong understanding of user behaviors and market trends
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Certification in data science or a related field
