About the Role
The Data Scientist role at Dropbox is a unique opportunity to partner with product, engineering, and design teams to drive business growth through data-driven insights. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to inform product development, optimize business processes, and identify new revenue streams. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify key questions and develop analytics solutions to address them.Day-to-day, you will be involved in designing and implementing A/B tests, analyzing user behaviors, and developing predictive models to forecast business outcomes. Your insights will be used to inform product roadmap decisions, optimize marketing campaigns, and drive business growth.
What You Will Do
- Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to identify key questions and develop analytics solutions
- Design and implement A/B tests to inform product development and optimization
- Analyze user behaviors and develop predictive models to forecast business outcomes
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support analytics efforts
- Create data visualizations and reports to communicate complex insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators and develop metrics to measure business success
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics
- Develop and maintain technical documentation of analytics tools and methods
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in data science or a related field
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
- Experience with applied analytics techniques, including A/B testing and predictive modeling
- Strong understanding of business operations and market trends
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and design
Nice to Have
- Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R
