About the Role
The Data Scientist Product Analytics role at Leap Tools is a unique opportunity for a skilled analytics professional to join a fast-growing tech company and drive product decisions with data. As a key member of the product team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key business problems and develop analytical solutions to drive product optimization and customer adoption. With a strong foundation in statistics and machine learning, you will leverage large and complex datasets to uncover insights and trends that inform product development efforts.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve collaborating with product managers and engineers to analyze user behavior, product usage, and feature adoption. You will design and execute A/B tests, communicate results to drive product optimization, and empower customer-facing teams to drive adoption of new products and features. Your attention to detail and focus on quality will ensure that your analysis and insights are accurate and actionable.
What You Will Do
- Use a variety of analytical and statistical approaches to solve key business problems, working with large and complex datasets
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to analyze user behavior, product usage, and feature adoption to improve the product and the user experience
- Conduct and evaluate A/B tests and communicate results to drive product optimization and to empower customer-facing teams to drive adoption of new products and features
- Work with product managers to identify key product metrics and build dashboards for monitoring performance
- Proactively identify and interpret trends in the data to inform product development efforts, sales efforts, and thought leadership in the home decor industry
- Utilize statistical methods and machine learning techniques for a variety of use cases, such as predicting future trends and customer segmentation
- Leverage our data to drive insights for individual customers, helping them understand user behavior and preferences for targeted marketing strategies
- Develop and maintain datasets, data models, and data visualizations to support business decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics
What We Are Looking For
- Distinctive work experience in data preprocessing, data wrangling, feature engineering, data analysis, and statistical modeling, delivering polished customer-ready insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality
- Excellent communication to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable engaging with customers and senior executives
- Technical background, demonstrated through a degree in statistics, mathematics, or other related technical field, or alternatively through relevant work experience
- Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and at least one scripting language used for analysis (e.g., Python)
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques
