About the Role
The Data Success Manager is a key position at Murmuration, responsible for sourcing, collecting, and managing data for partners across various civic engagement campaigns. As a member of the Data Success Team, you will work closely with other data specialists, partnership managers, and researchers to drive data-driven insights and support the growth of Murmuration's partner network. Your day-to-day work will involve identifying and evaluating datasets, performing quality checks, and collaborating with internal teams to understand data gaps and recommend sourcing strategies.Murmuration's vision is to build a more just, equitable, and resilient America, and as a Data Success Manager, you will contribute to this mission by providing high-quality data solutions that empower partners to drive social change. What You Will Do
- Establish and manage operational processes for identifying, evaluating, and sourcing datasets that support Murmuration's civic engagement partners
- Create and perform validation and quality checks on newly acquired datasets
- Clean, standardize, and prepare external datasets for integration into Murmuration systems using SQL and scripting tools
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand data gaps and recommend sourcing strategies
- Monitor ongoing data quality for sourced datasets and proactively flag degradation, inconsistencies, or compliance concerns
- Develop and maintain documentation of data management processes and procedures
- Lead the effort to establish, manage, and improve data collection processes from both operational and technical angles
- Work with other members of the Success Team to determine the prioritization of new data collection opportunities
- Contribute to improvements in data management practices and pipelines
