About the Role
The Data Team Lead role is a critical position in the clinical trials industry, responsible for overseeing data management activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and driving innovation in data analysis. As a remote worker, you will lead a team of data management professionals, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality data management services. Your expertise in data management, clinical trials, and remote collaboration will be essential in driving success in this role.The day-to-day responsibilities of a Data Team Lead involve establishing data management expectations, creating and tracking content, format, quality, and timing of data management deliverables. You will work closely with trial customers, internal partners, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless data management operations. What You Will Do
- Establish data management expectations with trial customers and internal partners
- Create and track content, format, quality, and timing of data management deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless data management operations
- Develop and implement data management plans, including CRF, data review plan, QC plan, oversight plan, database release plan, final datasets, submission plan, and archival
- Lead and manage remote data management teams, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, including GCP, FDA, and EU regulations
- Participate in regulatory agency audits and inspections, as necessary
- Identify and communicate lessons learned, best practices, and frequently asked questions at the trial level
- Present and train at investigator and monitor meetings
- Develop and maintain clinical data management documents, including submission packages
- Ensure real-time inspection readiness of all data management deliverables
What We Are Looking For
- BS/BA degree or higher, preferably in Health Sciences or related field
- 5 years of data management experience, with a focus on clinical trials
- 3 years of lead or co-lead experience in data management
- Experience with vendor management, RAVE, and other data management tools
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience in remote team management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional partners
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Experience with regulatory guidelines, including GCP, FDA, and EU regulations
Nice to Have
- Experience with data analytics and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of cloud-based data management platforms and tools
- Certification in data management, clinical trials, or related field
- Experience with agile project management methodologies
