Data Technician

About the Role

What You Will Do

• Enter, update, and correct data in databases, handling high volumes of information with precision.
• Verify data accuracy and perform data cleaning to ensure consistency across systems.
• Generate reports and extract insights from data for operational use, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and models, to ensure transparency and accessibility.
• Adhere to data security policies, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all data handled.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve data discrepancies and improve data management processes.
• Develop and implement data quality checks to prevent errors and ensure data consistency.
• Assist in the development of databases and data systems as needed, leveraging knowledge of database management principles.
• Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in data management, applying this knowledge to improve current processes.

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED, with a preference for candidates with higher education in a related field.
• Familiarity with databases, including experience with data entry, data analysis, and database management.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, GitHub, or Jira, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software and systems.
• Basic understanding of data security principles and practices, with a commitment to maintaining data integrity.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
