About the Role
The Data Verification Assistant role at TSMG is a unique opportunity to support a temporary project focused on verifying the accuracy of information listed on booking and similar platforms. This involves a meticulous review of claims made by hosts, utilizing open online sources and calls to confirm the validity of the data provided. The role is integral to maintaining the integrity of the data, ensuring that all information is consistent and reliable.The day-to-day tasks will involve a blend of online research, data analysis, and communication with the project management team to report on progress and flag any inconsistencies or issues found. Given the nature of the project, a strong command of English, attention to detail, and analytical thinking are essential skills for this position.
What You Will Do
- Verify claims and data submitted by hosts through thorough online research and calls.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets using Excel or Google Sheets to track verification progress.
- Communicate regularly with the project manager to provide status updates and highlight any issues.
- Identify incomplete, inconsistent, or suspicious data and proactively bring it to the team's attention.
- Conduct thorough analysis of data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Manage and organize data in a clear and systematic way to facilitate easy access and review.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in data and adjust verification processes as necessary.
- Collaborate with the project team to discuss findings and implement improvements.
