About the Role
The Data Visualization & Power BI Consultant role is a remote, long-term contract position that involves partnering with enterprise teams to design, build, and enhance executive-level dashboards supporting AI and business performance. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for blending hands-on Power BI development with stakeholder engagement to create scalable, intuitive reporting experiences. Your expertise will be crucial in driving business growth and informing strategic decisions.In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators, develop data models, and create reusable templates and standards. Your ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders will be essential in driving adoption and ensuring that business objectives are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI development, data modeling, and stakeholder engagement. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to iterate quickly and prioritize tasks effectively is crucial.
What You Will Do
- Build Power BI dashboards from structured and semi-structured data to support business performance and AI initiatives
- Develop scalable data models, DAX, Power Query, and optimized visuals to drive insights and adoption
- Iterate quickly based on stakeholder feedback to ensure that reporting experiences meet business needs
- Define KPIs, metrics, and dashboard narratives to inform strategic decisions
- Create reusable templates, standards, and governance practices to drive consistency and quality
- Partner with enterprise teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
- Develop tiered and role-based reporting and drill-through navigation to support diverse stakeholder needs
- Translate business questions into clear KPIs and insights to drive business growth
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and ensure that reporting experiences meet business objectives
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI dashboard development for business and executive audiences
- Strong skills in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and performance tuning
- Experience designing tiered and role-based reporting and drill-through navigation
- Ability to translate business questions into clear KPIs and insights
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data, including Excel and enterprise systems
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with AI, transformation, or enterprise reporting is preferred but not required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies, such as Tableau or QlikView
- Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics
- Certification in Power BI or related technologies
- Experience working in a remote environment and collaborating with distributed teams
