Job Description

About the Role

The DataTree Sales Representative role is a critical part of First American's Data & Analytics division, which provides property-centric information, analytics, risk management, and valuation solutions. As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in growing and retaining the DataTree client base by acquiring new business and expanding existing customer relationships across data licensing, spatial analytics, and GIS-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, particularly in the context of GIS ecosystems, and a strong understanding of the growing convergence of real estate data, mapping technology, and location intelligence. You will work closely with clients across multiple industry verticals, including mortgage lending, insurance, government, utilities, GIS, spatial analytics, and proptech organizations.

What You Will Do

  • Build net-new client relationships by selling enterprise property data, geospatial datasets, and analytics solutions into multiple industry verticals
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities by developing targeted prospecting strategies and qualified call plans for lenders, servicers, secondary market participants, insurers, GIS teams, Esri partners, spatial technology companies, and enterprise location intelligence users
  • Position DataTree's property and ownership data as a strategic layer in clients' decision-making processes
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the DataTree platform and its applications in various industries
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Provide feedback and insights to product development teams to inform future product enhancements
  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and expand existing customer relationships
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals in a timely and professional manner

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, particularly in the context of GIS ecosystems or related fields
  • Strong understanding of the growing convergence of real estate data, mapping technology, and location intelligence
  • Experience with Salesforce and other CRM systems
  • Familiarity with Esri and ArcGIS platforms and workflows
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as geography, urban planning, or business administration

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data licensing, spatial analytics, and GIS-driven solutions
  • Knowledge of the mortgage lending, insurance, or government industries
  • Familiarity with other GIS software, such as QGIS or Google Earth
