About the Role
As a DB DevOps Engineer at Jobgether, you will play a crucial part in designing, building, deploying, and supporting various database infrastructures. What You Will Do
- Design and support critical database infrastructure and automation tools
- Implement monitoring frameworks to ensure system reliability and efficiency
- Manage database replication, backups, and observability platforms
- Conduct root cause analysis and apply preventive measures to improve database performance
- Script and automate database tasks to enhance operational efficiency
- Provide technical guidance across teams for infrastructure decisions
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of database systems
- Develop and maintain database documentation and standards
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for database systems
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of DBA experience with a track record of delivering business value
- Expertise in AWS Aurora DB, DynamoDB/MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch
- Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Shell, SQL, Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins
- Familiarity with Linux or Unix-like operating systems
- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BE) in a related field
- Experience with cloud-based services and agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL
- Certification in DBA or related field
