About the Role

The DBA Oracle role at Devoteam is a remote, full-time position that requires a high level of expertise in Oracle database administration. As a DBA Oracle, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle RDBMS and related products. You will work closely with the development team to ensure high-performance database systems and provide support for database-related issues.

What You Will Do

  • Install, configure, and update Oracle RDBMS and related products
  • Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies
  • Perform database tuning and optimization
  • Resolve database-related issues and provide support
  • Plan and implement database upgrades and patches
  • Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure high-performance database systems
  • Configure and maintain database security and access controls
  • Develop and maintain documentation and standards for database administration

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience in Oracle database administration
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, and database performance optimization
  • Experience with database backup and recovery tools, such as RMAN and Data Pump
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with database security and access controls
  • Knowledge of Exadata and cloud-based database solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SQL Server and MySQL database administration
  • Knowledge of database replication and high availability solutions
  • Experience with cloud-based database services, such as AWS RDS
  • Certification in Oracle database administration, such as OCP or OCM
