About the Role

The Deal Desk Advisor plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and improving sales effectiveness at Merative. As a key member of the sales team, this professional will work closely with stakeholders to develop complex price quotes and contracts for a variety of offerings. This role requires a strong understanding of sales, pricing, and contract management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, pricing, and contract management, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving sales effectiveness. They will be able to work effectively in a cross-functional team, communicating complex ideas and negotiating contracts with ease.

The Deal Desk Advisor will be responsible for developing price quotes and contracts for labor-based professional services engagements, as well as supporting or owning the quoting and contracting for well-defined products. They will work closely with the sales team to progress opportunities through the sales cycle, ensuring alignment with business unit strategy, margin objectives, and client requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Develop complex price quotes and contracts for labor-based professional services engagements
  • Support or own the quoting and contracting for well-defined products
  • Work closely with the sales team to progress opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Ensure alignment with business unit strategy, margin objectives, and client requirements
  • Advance price quotes and contracts through the approval process
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
  • Participate in high-level solutioning and work with the extended solutioning team to define labor estimates and schedules
  • Use financial tools to perform profitability and revenue analysis and help maximize the profit margin on labor
  • Build complex professional services quotes and support sellers in building product quotes
  • Create, redline, and route services contracts that describe the effort and price of delivering the solution proposed

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Experience developing professional services price quotes
  • Experience creating, redlining, and routing sales contracts
  • Proven commitment to supporting sales wins
  • Strong background with labor planning and price modeling
  • Solid understanding of revenue recognition rules
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively deliver presentations to internal groups

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting software product quotes
  • Strong background supporting SaaS software and services sales in the government and partner arenas
  • Experience with government contracting, social program management, or information technology
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or DocuSign
