As a Deal Desk Manager, you will act as a strategic advisor, guiding complex deal negotiations, structuring scalable agreements, and ensuring seamless collaboration between Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Accounting teams. Your expertise will help drive business growth while minimizing risk, making this role pivotal to Amplitude's continued success.The Deal Desk team operates at the intersection of business strategy and technical expertise, requiring individuals who can navigate complex deal structures, analyze data, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. What You Will Do
- Own deal strategy for complex opportunities, advising Sales on pricing, packaging, and negotiation tactics
- Drive deal execution end-to-end, ensuring all approvals are obtained and aligned with revenue recognition, legal, and operational policies
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Legal, Finance, RevOps, and Accounting teams to structure smart, scalable deals
- Partner on non-standard deal structures, balancing business impact with compliance and revenue recognition considerations
- Identify and implement process improvements to the Quote to Order process, leveraging AI tools and codifying best practices
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Amplitude's products and services, staying up-to-date on market trends and competitor analysis
- Collaborate with the Revenue Operations team to optimize pricing strategies and revenue streams
- Provide training and support to Sales teams on deal strategy, pricing, and contract terms
- Manage and analyze deal data to inform business decisions and identify areas for improvement
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in deal management, preferably in a SaaS or software company, with a strong background in contract negotiation and strategy
- Expertise in Salesforce and Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate insights effectively
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business growth and mitigating risk
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
