About the Role

The Deal Desk Manager position at Salesloft is a critical component of the company's revenue growth strategy. As a key member of the Deal Desk team, you will be responsible for providing deal strategy, pricing guidance, and commercial expertise to drive revenue, velocity, and scale. You will work closely with the sales leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure that deals are structured and executed flawlessly.

As a Deal Desk Manager, you will be expected to provide next-level deal strategy, pricing, and discounting guidance, as well as commercial and contractual expertise.

The role entails working with international sales teams to provide deal structuring, price and cost modeling, custom commercial terms and conditions, proposal enhancement, and quoting support. You will also be responsible for enforcing appropriate pricing, discounting, and commercial guardrails through approvals while providing creative alternatives to drive revenue, unit economics, and high margins.

What You Will Do

  • Provide deal strategy and guidance to sales leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Support international sales teams with deal structuring, price and cost modeling, custom commercial terms and conditions, proposal enhancement, and quoting support
  • Enforce appropriate pricing, discounting, and commercial guardrails through approvals while providing creative alternatives to drive revenue, unit economics, and high margins
  • Assist in driving process and system improvements to closure, working in close partnership with Business Applications, Field Sales, Revenue Accounting, Finance, and Order Management teams
  • Build bridges and drive process velocity by representing the Deal Desk team on cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Provide ongoing enablement to the field on pricing, deal strategy, booking policies, and commercial guardrails
  • Perform UAT to support system and process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and improve sales efficiency
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a deal desk, sales operations, or commercial role
  • Expertise in Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and legal
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM and sales automation tools
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition and accounting principles
