About the Role
As a DeFi Engineer at ERGONIA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS SL, you will play a critical role in expanding the company's trading capabilities across multiple chains and protocols. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with traders, quants, and engineers to design, implement, and deploy production-ready DeFi systems. This is a high-performance environment that requires quick decision-making and the ability to handle trade-offs.The role is part of a fast-moving team that values engineers who can prioritize what matters, move quickly, and get things shipped. You will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end exchange, execution, and data-pipeline architecture, as well as designing and implementing smart contracts on Solana or EVM environments.
ERGONIA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS SL operates some of the most sophisticated, highest-volume trading systems in DeFi, and you will be working on complex projects that require a deep understanding of DeFi mechanics, trading systems, and on-chain execution.
What You Will Do
- Build systems to read high-volume, low-latency data from blockchains
- Send and manage transactions in performance-sensitive environments
- Design, implement, and deploy production smart contracts on Solana or EVM environments
- Contribute to end-to-end exchange, execution, and data-pipeline architecture
- Work closely with traders, quants, and engineers to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain reliable, high-performance trading systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new trading strategies
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in DeFi and blockchain technology
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of experience working in DeFi
- Proven delivery of production-ready DeFi systems on Solana or EVM
- Strong understanding of DeFi mechanics, trading systems, spot/margin trading, and on-chain execution
- Experience with digital skills, including remote work and communication tools
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
Nice to Have
- Experience with low-level blockchain runtime or transaction-pipeline optimizations
- Experience landing high-volume transactions on Solana or EVM
- Background in market making or high-frequency trading
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems
