About the Role
ERGONIA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS SL is a pioneering crypto-native trading firm that operates at the forefront of DeFi and CeFi. As a DeFi Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's presence across multiple chains and protocols, working closely with traders, quants, and engineers to develop and implement innovative trading strategies.The role entails working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying production-ready DeFi systems on Solana or EVM environments. Your expertise in on-chain data and execution will be crucial in driving the company's growth and success.
You will be part of a dynamic team that values self-driven, highly motivated individuals who can prioritize tasks, handle trade-offs, and deliver working systems under tight deadlines.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and deploy production-ready smart contracts on Solana or EVM environments
- Build systems to read high-volume, low-latency data from blockchains
- Send and manage transactions in performance-sensitive environments
- Contribute to end-to-end exchange, execution, and data-pipeline architecture
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and engineers to develop and implement trading strategies
- Develop and maintain on-chain programs and smart contracts
- Ensure reliable and efficient execution of transactions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in DeFi and blockchain technology
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of experience working in DeFi
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready DeFi systems on Solana or EVM
- Strong understanding of DeFi mechanics, trading systems, spot/margin trading, and on-chain execution
- Experience with smart contract development and deployment
- Familiarity with low-level blockchain runtime or transaction-pipeline optimizations
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
Nice to Have
- Experience with market making or high-frequency trading
- Background in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
- Familiarity with languages such as Rust, Solidity, or Vyper
- Experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and platforms
