About the Role

The Delivery Manager position at GE Vernova is a critical component of the company's services organization, responsible for the successful implementation of DERMS projects. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and business acumen. As a Delivery Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and key suppliers to define and deliver project outcomes that meet client needs and exceed expectations.

In this role, you will be accountable for providing technical leadership in pre-sales and delivery phases, managing project scope, schedule, resourcing, risk, and delivery quality. You will also play a key leadership role in implementing and maintaining best practices and delivery standards across existing and new opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing projects that deployed solutions to the AWS cloud, with certification a plus. They will also have a good understanding of DevOps concepts and be able to lead customers and apply those concepts to daily deliverables.

What You Will Do

  • Share responsibility with the GE Services Project Manager for managing scope, schedule, resourcing, risk, and delivery quality
  • Build effective Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and accurately track, update, and report task activity progress
  • Manage project teams and activities to drive project deliverables
  • Communicate effectively with Project Manager, Customer, Project team, and DevOps on project and technical items
  • Participate in Gate Reviews within GE and the customer
  • Utilize software delivery performance measurement tools and indicators
  • Respond to all client inquiries, bugs, and product ideas for in-flight projects
  • Analyze and assess data and results of project activities and tasks
  • Report on project outcomes and present findings to project partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Service Engineering development lead during the development cycle
  • Utilize GE Product knowledge and expertise to drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement
  • Work with Project Manager to communicate with customer and assist in the tendering process for project proposals
  • Ensure a smooth transition to maintenance team at the end of the project

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the energy or technology sector
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Strong technical expertise in DERMS and related technologies
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Smartsheets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or business administration

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS cloud deployment and management
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP or Agile
