Job Description

About the Role

As a Delivery Manager at Appsilon, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of custom software projects for pharma and biotech clients, with a special focus on clinical trials and data-intensive applications. This role requires a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, as well as the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams. You will be working closely with clients to understand their needs, provide proactive insights, and drive measurable value.

The role entails managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be working with a team of experienced engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

What You Will Do

  • Lead data-focused projects for pharma and biotech clients, with a focus on clinical trials and data-intensive applications
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide proactive insights to drive measurable value
  • Collaborate with the Sales team on pre-sales and the Account Management team on cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Manage the backlog, clarify requirements, and support engineers as needed
  • Work with the Sales team to identify client needs and provide solutions
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and CDISC standards
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and sales
  • Drive employee satisfaction within the team and contribute to Appsilon's growth and success
  • Travel a few times a year for client visits, conferences, and other business needs

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role or in top consulting firms
  • Proven track record of leading successful IT projects in the pharma/biotech sector
  • Knowledge of CDISC standards, such as SDTM, ADaM, and SEND
  • Experience with clinical trial data tools or workflows
  • Background in molecular biology or bioinformatics is a strong plus
  • Experience in working directly with clients and managing relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
  • High motivation to achieve success, can-do attitude, business maturity, patience, and strong communication skills
  • English fluency at a C1/C2 level
  • Comfortable working across time zones, including overlap with Europe and the US

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Experience with data analytics tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
