About the Role
The Demand Gen / Growth role at Holocene is a unique opportunity for a skilled marketing professional to make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory. As the founding hire, you will be responsible for driving the top of the funnel, securing qualified conversations with key decision-makers at target manufacturers. Your mission is to get the founder into 8-12 qualified conversations per month, which will ultimately convert into pipeline over time. You will be working closely with the founder to ensure seamless communication and a unified approach to driving growth.The role entails a deep understanding of the supply chain and procurement landscape, as well as the ability to identify and engage with the right buyers. You will be responsible for researching target accounts, understanding their pain points, and crafting hyper-personalized outreach sequences that earn attention and drive results. Your day-to-day activities will include managing HubSpot pipelines, tracking outreach, and reporting on conversion at every step.
As a key member of the team, you will be working directly with the founder to drive growth and secure meetings with decision-makers. Your ability to think creatively, work relentlessly, and drive results will be essential in this role.
What You Will Do
- Research target accounts to understand their supply chain, recent news, pain points, and org structure
- Identify the right buyer, including VP Supply Chain, Head of Procurement, COO, and Plant Director
- Write hyper-personalized outbound sequences that earn attention and drive results
- Build and run multi-touch sequences across email, LinkedIn, and warm intro paths
- Mine existing networks to identify potential opportunities
- Frame meetings as value exchanges, not sales pitches
- Manage HubSpot pipeline, track outreach, and report on conversion at every step
- Coordinate event follow-ups, podcast/webinar appearances, and content seeding that generates inbound
- Work directly with the founder to drive growth and secure meetings with decision-makers
- Continuously monitor and optimize outreach strategies to improve results
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in demand generation or a related field
- Proven track record of securing qualified conversations with decision-makers
- Strong understanding of the supply chain and procurement landscape
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive results
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Experience with tools like Apollo, Clay, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the manufacturing or industrial context
- Fluency in German or other languages
- Experience with content creation and content marketing
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles
