Demo Studio Lead

## About the Role As a Demo Studio Lead at Openai, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end demo experience for major events, launches, and strategic programs. This role requires a unique combination of product thinking, technical fluency, storytelling, systems design, and operational excellence. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Marketing, and GTM, to align on narrative and execution.

The Demo Studio at Openai is a hybrid product studio and live production team, building experiences that are technically credible, narratively compelling, and reliable in high-stakes settings. As a Demo Studio Lead, you will be responsible for defining the narrative, architecting workflows, building high-fidelity demo environments, directing presenters, and ensuring flawless execution in live environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical product marketing and/or technical success roles, with 8+ years of experience in designing end-to-end workflows and experiences. You should be technically fluent and comfortable working with APIs, AI systems, data, and modern development tools.

## What You Will Do - Own the demo portfolio for major events and ensure a cohesive, high-quality experience across all demo surfaces - Design narrative-driven demos that translate advanced AI capabilities into believable customer workflows - Build high-fidelity demo environments, applications, and agent-driven workflows across tools, data, and multimodal interfaces - Lead live demo execution, including operational readiness, troubleshooting, and backup systems - Direct presenters through rehearsal and iteration to improve clarity, pacing, and delivery - Extend demo experiences into booths, experiential activations, and attendee-facing applications - Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Marketing, and GTM teams to align on narrative and execution - Contribute to shared demo infrastructure, systems, and best practices that scale across events - Stay calm under pressure and troubleshoot effectively in real time - Operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in ambiguous environments

## What We Are Looking For - 8+ years of experience in technical product marketing and/or technical success roles - Strong systems thinking and ability to design end-to-end workflows and experiences - Technical fluency and comfort working with APIs, AI systems, data, and modern development tools - Experience building demos, prototypes, or customer-facing applications - Strong storytelling instincts and ability to simplify complex technical concepts into compelling narratives - Ability to thrive in high-stakes environments such as launches, conferences, or live executive demos - High degree of ownership and autonomy in ambiguous environments - Strong attention to detail and care for craft, usability, and quality
