Developer Marketing

About the Role

The successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about technology, marketing, and innovation, with a deep understanding of what drives developer engagement. You will be working closely with the engineering and product teams to stay ahead of the curve and identify opportunities to create content that resonates with developers. With a strong focus on remote collaboration, this role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in North America, with occasional travel for team off-sites and conferences.

What You Will Do

• Deeply understand Linear's product, especially the AI agent and newer capabilities, to identify compelling use cases and stories to tell
• Create engaging content, such as blog posts, videos, and social media posts, to demonstrate the value of Linear's product
• Collaborate with engineering and product-focused creators to develop authentic content that resonates with developers
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, including support, sales, and product teams, to ensure alignment and maximize impact
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the developer ecosystem, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, including new technologies, platforms, and tools
• Participate in conferences, meetups, and other events to showcase Linear's product and build connections with the developer community
• Work with the video team to produce high-quality technical product content that showcases Linear's capabilities
• Partner with the sales team to develop targeted content that supports sales efforts and drives revenue growth

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in developer marketing, technical writing, or a related field
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, including natural language processing and computer vision
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives around complex technologies
• Strong understanding of the developer ecosystem, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
• Experience with content creation, including blogging, video production, and social media management
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with minimal supervision
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with collaboration tools, including Slack, GitHub, and Trello

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, including Tableau or Power BI
• Experience with SEO and content optimization techniques
• Familiarity with developer-focused communities, including GitHub, Stack Overflow, or Reddit
